Hours: part time 20 hours a week, Friday 9 – 3 Saturday 9 – 4 and Sunday 9 – 4.
One weekend a month off.
Holiday: 25 days pro rata plus bank holidays.
Emmaus Cambridge runs a very busy 5* rated café, 5 days a week.
Emmaus Cambridge is a charity and social enterprise, part of which is our very busy café. Emmaus provides a home for 44 formerly homeless people, known as companions, who are working their way out of homelessness in all areas of our social enterprise.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic person who has experience working in a successful and busy food service establishment, enjoys dealing with people, has excellent communication skills and be able to:
- Cook dishes to order in a busy environment
- Act on own initiative
- Work well in a team
- Has excellent organisation skills
- Be willing to turn a hand to whatever is required
- Keep cool in a crisis
- Have great attention to detail
- Support companions to get involved in the project.
The post holder will work closely with the catering and operational staff team.
