We welcome donations of a wide range of furniture and household items, with every penny of what we sell going straight into the Emmaus charity, working together to end homelessness in Cambridgeshire.

These items are given a new lease of life when sold in our Landbeach shop and helps us to provide a home for as long as needed to people who have experienced homelessness and social exclusion.

However, while our social enterprise thrives because of donations, we would like to remind the public that we cannot accept all items, for a variety of reasons including space, demand, or damage, amongst others.

Accepting items that we cannot sell ultimately results in tipping charges for our charity.

We do not accept:

  • Guns, knives and weapons, replica or otherwise
  • Flammables, gas cylinders, paints and gas appliances
  • Prams, buggies, walkers, cots, baby toys and high chairs
  • Flat-packed furniture, unless boxed
  • Ladders
  • Bulk office furniture (unless by prior arrangement)
  • Furniture without fire labels
  • Safety equipment i.e. car seats, bike helmets
  • Ivory
  • Large wall units
  • Used duvets and pillows
  • Headboards (not part of a complete bed)

If you are unsure about an item you would like to donate, please contact us on 01223 863 657 or [email protected].
