Emmaus Cambridge is marking the Buy Social for a Better Future campaign by holding a 50% sale on clothes and textiles on Saturday the 12th October sale at its Landbeach site.

The Buy Social for a Better campaign, which takes place from 7-12 October, aims to show people the positive impact they can have when shopping at social enterprises. As part of its social enterprise, Emmaus Cambridge sells pre-loved furniture, clothing and much more and runs an on-site coffee shop.

When people shop at Emmaus, they are helping to generate the funds so the charity can continue providing a home for as long as needed to 44 people who have experienced homelessness. Those supported by the charity also volunteer full-time in the social enterprise so they can learn new skills, enhance their CV and regain their confidence.

Graham Haynes, Operations Manager, at Emmaus Cambridge, said:

“Shopping at any social enterprise means more than simply buying an item. With every purchase made at Emmaus Cambridge, customers are having a direct impact on the lives of people who have experienced homelessness and helping them to rebuild their life. We wanted to thank all our regular shoppers for their continued support with a 50% sale on clothing and textiles and we look forward to welcoming any new visitors too.”

The Emmaus Cambridge Buy Social Sale will take place on Saturday 12 October at Green End, Landbeach, Cambridge, CB25 9FD from 9:00am – 5pm.
