As support for Windows 10 officially came to an end last week (14 October), many people are wondering what to do with their older computers. The good news? You don’t need to buy brand new one.

At Emmaus Reboot, we’re offering a wide range of refurbished PCs and laptops that deliver great performance, modern security and excellent value – all while helping reduce electronic waste and supporting our charity.

Professionally refurbished

Every computer we sell has been professionally refurbished by our skilled IT technician. We install a fully licensed operating system (such as Windows 11 or a fast, secure Linux alternative), and carry out thorough testing to ensure reliability. The result is a machine that feels new, performs beautifully, and costs a fraction of the price of buying from the high street.

Our Reboot IT expert, Paul Brunsdon said:

“With Windows 10 no longer supported from October 14, now is a great time to pick up a refurbished PC or laptop from our Reboot shop.

“We have a great selection of computers in stock in our shop which will ensure you keep ahead of IT; laptops starting from £65 (Linux based) or £85 (Windows 11 based), with various specifications available and monitors starting from £25. We also give a three-month warranty on hardware for extra peace of mind.

“You’re making a positive impact”

“By choosing one of our refurbished computers, you’re doing more than saving money — you’re making a positive impact. Your purchase helps fund our community supporting people who experienced homelessness, while also reducing landfill waste by giving older tech a second life.”

Whether you’re a student looking for a study laptop, a family needing a home computer, or a small business on a budget, we have something for you. Come and visit Emmaus Reboot at Green End, Cambridge CB25 9FD.

Please donate your unused IT tech

Don’t forget to remember us when you’re upgrading your computer or IT tech at work or at home. We rely on donations of used PC’s, laptops, tablets and peripherals (keyboards, mice, and speakers etc). Unfortunately, we can’t accept printers and are currently unable to accept donations of monitors, due to a backlog, which we are working hard to clear.

Reboot is open every Wednesday and Thursday from 10am – 4pm and on Fridays from 10am – 3.30pm, but you can also buy our IT products in our main shop, open from Wednesday through to Sunday 10am-4pm. For more information, please call us on 07493 868353.
