Due to the current coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and latest advice from government, we have taken the difficult decision to close both our Emmaus Burnley Ivy Street Superstore and Emmaus Department Store in Rochdale with immediate effect.
All collections and deliveries have also been suspended for the time being in order to keep everyone safe. We have been contacting all those who have a collection or delivery booked. If you haven’t heard from us already, we will contact you as soon as possible. We also ask that you do not drop off donations at any of our shops as they will all be closed.
Whilst we are concerned about the financial impact, the wellbeing of our companions, staff, volunteers, trustees, supporters and the local community is our number one priority. Thank you so much for your continued support during this uncertain time. We hope you stay safe over the coming weeks and months ahead.
Moving forward, we are aiming to put in place a brand-new system for online sales and door deliveries only. Keep checking our website and social media feeds for more updates. We will continue to monitor official guidance carefully and keep in touch with you about any changes. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns via firstname.lastname@example.org
The majority of the funds we need to survive are generated through our social enterprise. The temporary closure of our Emmaus charity stores due to the COVID-19 situation poses a significant risk to our charity. We know it’s tough for everyone at the moment but any gift you can spare will help us get through this difficult time.
