Ready to stand out at your next festival? Join Emmaus Bristol’s upcycling workshop on Thursday 8 June 2023 and make your own one-of-a-kind festival garment! From colourful crochet tops to embellished shorts or headpieces, let your creativity run wild.
The workshop will be held from 6 – 8:30pm at our Stokes Croft site on Upper York Street, St Paul’s, BS2 8QJ. Tickets cost £35 per person and includes the use of fabrics, sequins, brooches, jewellery, paper flowers, denim, ribbon, bucket hats, and a whole table of embellishment materials! We will provide sewing machines, glue guns and thread too, and will have an upcycling expert on hand to assist attendees.
You can choose to bring your own plain item such as a jacket, shorts, top or hat, or you can choose from our rail of plain garments for an additional £5.
All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to our charity, which provides accommodation, support, training and work experience to help formerly homeless people rebuild their lives. We are celebrating 25 years of supporting people out of homelessness this year, and our Reuse Workshop: Festival Edition is part of a series of special events we are holding to celebrate. It will be a fun evening full of glitter and crafts, and you can party the night away in your new festival garment knowing you have supported a local homelessness charity in the process!
Tea and snacks will be provided. We have limited spaces available, so make sure to book your place asap!
