Are you interested in volunteering and like to know more about all the different ways you can help our homelessness charity? Come to our Volunteer Open Event.

There are currently several volunteer opportunities at our charity shops and services, where you can get to know other people, develop skills and help grow our social enterprises.

Emmaus Bolton provides a community home and support for up to 22 people with experience of homelessness. While our main social enterprise involves taking in, reusing and recycling household items that people no longer need, we also provide a cut-price cafe, second-hand bookstore, ice cream parlour, bric-a-brac boutique, Scrap Store of art and craft supplies, seasonal garden centre, furniture-making wood workshop and a pantry, which operates like a food bank where people can choose their own meals.

There are lots of exciting opportunities you can get involved in and help give back to your local community. To find out more about volunteering for Emmaus Bolton, come to our open event on Wednesday 27 November from 11am to 1pm. You’ll meet the team, come on a tour of the charity shops, and find out how you can make a difference to the lives of people in your local community.

You can take a look a closer look and the volunteer opportunities we offer here.

Emmaus Bolton was instrumental in setting up the Bolton Volunteer Charter in partnership with Bolton Community and Voluntary Services (Bolton CVS). This outlines the principles we commit to in our volunteering practice.
