Emmaus Sheffield shop is open!
Emmaus Sheffield shop is now trading and has a wide range of quality furniture, bric-a-brac, records, CDs, videos and books, electrical goods and bicycles at bargain prices! The shop, based on Blast Lane in Sheffield, is currently run by staff and volunteers, but the Community expects its first Companions to arrive in early 2008, as soon as building work is completed.
"We are delighted with our first weeks' trading", says Lawrence Buckley, Community Leader. "Thanks to the generosity of those who have donated items and the hard work of our volunteers, we have exceeded all our targets so far. "
"This shop will be a real asset to local residents and will help to reduce waste, as well as providing work to the formerly homeless people who will live and work here and supporting the Community financially".
Emmaus Sheffield can collect donated items from Sheffield and South Yorkshire; to find out more telephone 0114 272 0677 email enquiry@emmaus-sheffield.org.uk. The shop is open Monday-Friday 9.00am-4.30pm and on Saturday from 9.30am - 4.00pm.
