A Marathon effort for Emmaus

Congratulations to our four runners who braved the heat to run the 26 gruelling miles of the London Marathon for Emmaus on Sunday 22nd April. The training paid off as Anne-Marie Tong, Karl Schaefer, Ian Douglas-Pennant and Brian Day crossed over the finishing line in the sunshine.

Between them they have raised well over £10,000, which is a fantastic total. After visiting their local Emmaus Communities the runners were inspired by what they saw. Many thanks to all of them both for running and putting so much effort into their fundraising, and also to everyone who has sponsored or supported them along the way.

If you are interested in running for Emmaus in the Flora London Marathon 2008, please send an email to Sarah at contact@emmaus.org.uk for more information.
