Companions help raise awareness of Emmaus Salford
Emmaus Mossley Companions explain what Emmaus stands for and how they have benefited from living in an Emmaus Community in a video clip for Salford Life magazine.
Local reporters Tony Flynn and Tom Rodgers visited Emmaus Salford's new shop last week and heard from organiser Val Burgoyne, Chair of Emmaus Salford Trustees, about the Group's plans to establish an Emmaus Community in Salford.
Emmaus Salford shop 100 Seaford St, Salford.
Emmaus Salford opened its shop in November 2009, to build up the profile of Emmaus in the area and to raise funds for the project whilst establishing themselves in the community as a source of good quality secondhand furniture and household items.
"As well as work, living in Emmaus gives me support, stability and security. We live and work as a Community, and look out for each other," one Mossley Companion explains in the interview.
If you would like to donate items to the Emmaus Salford shop, help in the shop or find out more about Emmaus Salford, email them at info@emmaussalford.org.uk.
