Fabulous items at South Lambeth April 12th launch
Saturday 12th April sees the official opening of Bobby Vincent House by Joanna Lumley, star of hit TV comedy series Absolutely Fabulous. Bobby Vincent House provides accommodation for 25 Companions at the Emmaus South Lambeth Community.
The event is open to the public and kicks off at 11.30 a.m. with the opening itself timed for 1.30 p.m. Miss Lumley will deliver a short speech promoting better awareness about Emmaus South Lambeth’s work for previously homeless men and women.

1.45 p.m. sees the start of a charity auction to be conducted by Joanna Lumley and Terry Waite CBE, President of the Emmaus UK Federation.
Among the fabulous items up for auction are an original framed drawing from the famous 'Bristow' comic strip by Frank Dickens and a signed photo of David Beckham.
There will be plenty of other activities to enjoy: a bouncy castle, face painting, flamenco dancing, a graffiti workshop, a puppet theatre, a performance by the Lambeth Youth Orchestra and a mini flea market. Emmaus branded rickshaws will be on hand to ferry local people to the event and visitors can take advantage of special bargains in the Community's shops and warehouse.
Bobby Vincent House, Emmaus South Lambeth, is at 9a Knight's Hill, West Norwood, London SE27 0DB. It's about 2 minutes walk from West Norwood train station.
The day's events draw to a close at 5 p.m.
