Lesson plans
The 4 lesson plans outline a suggested route through a topic on homelessness for KS4 students. Each lesson has activities, linked to resources, which can be completed in a single 50 minute session. Homelessness is a complex issue; inevitably 4 × 50 minute sessions can only touch briefly on these, but we have suggested activities which we hope will engage students' interest, encourage them to examine some of the stereotypes held about homeless people and motivate them to research some of the ways homeless people can be supported.
We have included some additional activities which we hope might inspire students to carry out some further research or which could be developed in a fifth lesson.
